JOB SUMMARY

In the role of SQL Developer you will be working in a strong team environment using Microsoft Database technologies to architect, design and deliver database solutions for Visiphor products and customer engagements. Using you professional software architecture skills, and your teamwork and communication skills, you will be integral to helping Visiphor build high quality solutions using the latest technologies, including SQL Server, C#, Team Foundation Server, BizTalk Server, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Champion and support professional database development practices.
• Work with customers in architecting database solutions that will meet their business requirements and budgets.
• Train/assist staff as needed on existing and new technologies.
• Provide support and enhancements for existing systems.
• Plan development activities needed to achieve the desired end-results.
• Design and develop solutions using MS SQL Server.
• Complete software and solution documentation, including code-level document and technical design documentation.
• Perform database design and development.
• Review business, technical, and design documents and implement systems outlined in these documents.
• Contribute to and support a collaborative team environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• SQL Server 2005, Web Services, .NET framework, Team Foundation Server.
• 5+ years of experience developing database solutions using Microsoft technologies.
• Computer Science Degree, Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of and a passion for software development processes and methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to succeed in a constantly changing environment.
• Ability to mentor more junior resources.
• Skills that go beyong implementation, including ability in solution architecture and design.

ASSETS

• SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, BizTalk Server, K2, InfoPath, SharePoint, WWF, WCF, WPF.
• Microsoft Certification.
• Knowledge of the Agile method of software development.
• Experience in lead developer or team leader roles.
• Experience designing and developing enterprise class software.
• Knowledge of Oracle or DB2
